ECOStars flooring line features higher color content with recycled rubber that can
contribute LEED points to projects

Lancaster, PA - After much feedback from architects, designers and specifiers, ECOsurfaces product developers have been hard at work to create new additions to their already expansive line. Architects, designers and specifiers all love ECOsurfaces products’ high recycled content, durability, acoustical benefits and comfort under foot, but now they’re requesting even more pattern options and more color content to address applications in education, hospitality, health care, retail, corporate and health and fitness.

In response to these requests, ECORE corporate headquarters, where ECOsurfaces products are made, has responded by introducing the largest line expansion in the brand’s history, which includes a new collection called ECOstars and 15 additional color patterns to the existing ECOsand, ECOearth and ECOstone collections. All additional patterns will be available beginning January 2009.

ECOstars features a range of stunning patterns on a black background but with higher color concentrations than the ECOnights line. The eight lively new patterns contain colorful EPDM rubber flecks, which include post industrial content. They deliver the same high quality and performance characteristics the marketplace has come to expect from ECOsurfaces recycled rubber flooring.

In addition ECOsurfaces has also added 15 high impact patterns to its other major collections. The new patterns add breadth and depth to the lines and provide designers with more options, particularly for projects which are increasingly being influenced by customer demands for sustainable products.
